« Incidence d’une prise en charge ostéopathique globale du cavalier sur son fonctionnement » – Equ’idée 06/2015

 Le cavalier contrôle l’équilibre du couple via les aides quelques soit l’allure du cheval. Un suivi ostéopathique permet-il de l’améliorer ?

On retrouve dans l’étude des zones de blocage chez les cavaliers, notamment les 3 diaphragmes. Celles-ci concernent aussi bien les traumatismes physiques qu’émotionnels (stress).

Pour les auteures, « le bon fonctionnement du cavalier : un contact permanent dans la selle avec des appuis symétriques et synchronisés […]. Ceci nécessite un bon fonctionnement du bassin, une bonne mobilité des lombaires basses et l’intégrité des cervicales et des dorsales hautes. Ces qualités tendent à améliorer la relation cavalier-cheval. »

Après plusieurs manipulations sur 2 mois, on constate dans l’ensemble une amélioration de la symétrie tant au niveau des appuis sur les étriers que l’assiette.

Elles concluent : « qu’une prise en charge ostéopathique pratiquée dans son entière philosophie, respect de l’individu dans sa globalité (physique et émotionnelle), peut contribuer à améliorer le fonctionnement du cavalier. Associé au travail quotidien du geste juste, un suivi ostéopathique participe à la symétrisation des appuis sur les étriers et une amélioration de l’assiette. »

Leur conclusion est l’essence même des Cavateliers, les Ateliers Pratiques pour Cavaliers, afin de s’exercer dans ce « juste geste » par des exercices au sol.
